Emerson Umbrella presents Side Show

Don't Miss this Rarely Staged Musical!

Emerson Umbrella is proud to present a new production of the rarely staged Broadway musical, SIDE SHOW, opening on Friday, October 25 and running through Sunday, November 10. Originally nominated for one Drama Desk Award and four Tony Awards, the musical follows the lives of Siamese Twins Violet and Daisy Hilton—conjoined twins—on their meteoric rise to fame during the Depression backdrop of the 1930′s. This critically acclaimed musical portrays the twins' quest for love and normalcy set against the spectacle of fame and the scrutiny of the spotlight. Talented in the style of Old Broadway, the twins were a
popular act on the American Vaudeville circuit.

Glitzy Folly-esque numbers backed by a 14-piece orchestra and elaborate costumes do the memories of Broadway past proud. Directed by Brian Boruta with Music Direction by James Murphy and Choreography by Jenna Leavitt, this promises to be a stage story not soon forgotten.
Tickets are $30 and can be purchased online, or for more information, visit us at www.emersonumbrella.org
