Concord Band Holiday Pops

Celebrate the holiday season at the Concord Band's annual Holiday Pops concerts, to be held at 51 Walden St., Concord on December 7 and 8, 2012. Guest vocalist Rene Pfister will return as the featured soloist on several pieces and will also lead the audience holiday sing-along.


Rene Pfister’s performances have included over 200 original songs, 30 musicals, and 20 years of cabaret. As a member of the voice faculty at The Berklee College of Music, he teaches musical theater and acting classes as well as directing performances on the BPC mainstage. He has acted, music directed, and directed regionally in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York and has appeared on stage in the 30th Anniversary European Tour of Hair and in Oh, Figaro! with The National Theater of the Deaf’s U.S. touring company. He is a vocal coach to adults and young people in Concord, and in 2007 he created Make Your Life A Musical, a company that creates personalized musicals for special events.


The Holiday Pops concerts begin at 8:00 pm in The Performing Arts Center at 51 Walden Street in Concord. Table seating is available at $25 per person, $15 for children under 12. Ticket price includes beverages and snacks. The Concord Band, founded in 1959, is one of the leading community concert bands in the United States. It is well known for its innovative programming and the exceptional quality of its commissioned pieces. It presents both formal and Pops concerts throughout the year. Thousands attend its summer concerts each year at Fruitlands Museum in Harvard, Massachusetts.
