LWVCC Concord Candidates' Forum

The League of Women of Voters of Concord-Carlisle (LWVCC) will host a Concord Candidates’ Forum on Sunday, March 3, 2013, from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. in the Willard School Auditorium, 185 Powder Mill Road, Concord. Snow date is Tuesday, March 5, 7:30 p.m.

The League has invited all candidates running for office in the March 19 Town Election to participate in the forum: Town Moderator candidate Eric Van Loon (1-year term); Board of Selectmen candidates Alice Kaufman and Carmin Reiss (2 seats, 3-year terms); School Committee candidates Lisa Bergen, Johanna Boynton, Cynthia Rainey and Kathi Snook (2 seats, 3-year terms); and Housing Authority candidate Dennon Rodrigue (5-year term). Mr. Van Loon and Ms. Reiss are running for reelection.  The only contested races on the March 19 ballot are for the two School Committee seats.

At the March 3 forum, candidates will answer questions from the League of Women Voters and audience members. Nancy Carapezza of the Wayland LWV will moderate the forum. This program is free and open to the public. The LWVCC urges all Concord residents to attend.
