EXPLORING THE ARTIST’S STUDIO WITH DR. WANDA CORN - Sunday, March 2

The Concord Museum is honored to welcome nationally
renowned art historian Dr. Wanda M. Corn for a lecture entitled Artists’
Homes and Studios as Archive and Romance
. Dr. Corn will explore the
national movement afoot to preserve fine artist's homes and studios and open
them to the public. What can we learn from these special places in which
artists created great works of art?  Dr. Corn, Robert and Ruth Halperin
Professor Emerita in Art History at Stanford University, is a scholar of late
19th- and early 20th-century American art and
photography. Active as a visiting curator and scholar, she has produced
numerous books and exhibitions, including The Art
of Andrew  Wyeth
(l973), Grant Wood: The
Regionalist Vision
 (1983), and Seeing
Gertrude Stein, Five Stories
 (2011-12).
