RiverFest - Fishing Class for Kids

Would your kids like to learn how to fish?  Concord Outfitters will run a fishing class for children ages 6-13 years old on the banks of Nashoba Brook in West Concord. Meet at Concord Outfitters. Preregistration is required. Call 978-318-0330 or email andy@concordoutfitters.com by June 21.

In celebration of the National Wild and Scenic designation of the Assabet, Sudbury, and Concord Rivers, this event is sponsored by OARS and made possible by the generosity of Concord Outfitters.

Check out the complete list of Riverfest events taking place from Framingham to Lowell on June 20-22.  The offerings are diverse, suitable for young and older people, those who are adventuresome and want to be on the water, as well as those who enjoy history, the arts, or a scenic stroll along the river banks.

There are boat rides, bird watching walks, and canoe trips, as well as historical reenactments, art exhibits, and music. Kids may especially enjoy events allowing them to explore the river banks or get an up close look at some wildlife. Local community groups plan and organize all the activities.  Stay close to home, or travel a short distance, and spend the day enjoying all the rivers have to offer.

All events are free and open to the public.
