Seeking Wildness: Walking in Thoreau’s Footsteps

Come saunter along the 21st-century trail system that leads through Heny David Thoreau’s old neighborhood, in the lee of the aircraft runways of Hanscom Field. In this most wild part of Concord, and along its town line with Bedford, you can walk where Henry once walked, and take in some of the same inspirational scenery that he did by venturing behind the house he was born in.  Participants should bring along their journals and sketchbooks to document what they see during this early spring outing.  We will write along the way!  Led by Corinne H. Smith and co-sponsored by the Concord Cultural Council and Freedom’s Way National Heritage Area. Snow date: Saturday, April 5, 2014. This event is free. RSVP to info@thoreaufarm.org or (978) 451-0300.
