Three Rivers Chorus Presents November 2 Concert in West Concord

Three Rivers Chorus Presents November 2 Concert in West Concord

Three Rivers Chorus warmly invites everyone to its fall concert, “Where the Water Flows,” on Saturday, November 2, 8:00p.m., at West Concord Union Church, 1317 Main Street, West Concord, MA. The innovative program is funded in part by a grant from the national Wild and Scenic Rivers Stewardship Council. It celebrates the science, history, and spirit of the Sudbury, Assabet, and Concord rivers, and the watershed they share.

The musical line up features pieces by Gwyneth Walker, Delius, Monteverdi, and Hassler. The chorus is proud and delighted to be collaborating with members of the Concord Poets Society and local visual artists for this unique multimedia presentation. Following the concert, there will be a reception with refreshments and an exhibition of the work of the poets and visual artists. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door, and $10 for Students/Seniors. For more information, and to buy tickets in advance, go to www.threeriverschorus.org.

Three Rivers Chorus is an auditioned, SATB ensemble led by Ellen Oak, Artistic Director. Members share a passion for vocal artistry, community, and the living earth. The group performs a wide-ranging repertoire rooted in the classical tradition and encompassing traditional and contemporary works from around the world.

The chorus motto is "As the rivers are many and the water is one, so the voices are many and the singing is one." Guest artists, improvisation and audience participation at each concert are hallmarks of the chorus' commitment to bring diverse voices together in surprising ways.
