Trinity Forum: Rev. Kate Layzer on Occupy Boston

Trinity Episcopal Church in Concord invites you to its Sunday
morning Adult Forum, Trinity's adult education program, which meets
weekly at 9 AM to hear speakers sharing their experiences on one of six
themes — word, worship, wonder, world, witness, work — each being an
important aspect connecting faith with everyday life.  Trinity's
complete Forum schedule is available at http://trinityconcord.org/forum.shtml.

On
Sunday, January 19 at 9 AM the Trinity Forum explores witness with the Rev. Kate Layzer.  During the Occupy movement, did you ever wonder whether
there was a spiritual component? In this Forum, Rev. Kate Layzer will speak
about her experiences in the Occupy Boston movement from October 2011 through
June 2012.

Rev. Kate Layzer was the pastor of Union Congregational
Church in Winthrop, UCC, from 2006 to its closing in 2011. Now a member of
First Church in Cambridge, she has been exploring possibilities for
non-traditional forms of ministry, including online church and ministry with
the homeless. Kate is interested in ministry that reaches beyond the walls of
church to connect with the lives and faith of those at the margins,
particularly those who might not feel comfortable or welcome in church.

Trinity's invited Forum speakers come from many
walks of life and have addressed all manner of topics -- serious,
mysterious, personal and world-focussed. Among our recent topics are
pilgrimage, faith lost and found, histories and Biblical persons, death,
dying and grieving, parenting, stewardship, education, and much more.

Childcare
begins in Trinity's nursery at 9 AM; Trinity's buildings are fully
accessible.  For further information on this or other programs at
Trinity, please call our Parish Office, 978/369-3715, or visit us online
at http://www.trinityconcord.org.
