Ohki Simine Forest, A vision-holder of Mohawk descent living in Chiapas, Mexico since 1985 where she collaborates with indigenous Mayas in resistance, Ohki was trained & initiated by Maya, Mongolian & Canadian shamans. She has taught  Native Council ways   & Spiritual Warrior ways for 30 years. She is author of Dreaming the Council Ways: True Native Teachings from the Red Lodge, & a contributor to Original Instructions: Indigenous Teachings for a Sustainable Future. In Chiapas, Mexico, she founded a grassroots social justice organization governed according to ancient Council ways by serving the indigenous Maya in their resistance to extermination which gave rise to the US non-profit organization, Red Wind Councils. Ohki has presented at national conferences such as Bioneers, the Tesuque Indigenous Seed Sovereignty conferences, the SEED Graduate Institute conference: Wisdom from the Origins with the 13 Grandmothers, to name a few. She is a published author, a respected teacher, and the founder of a grassroots social justice organization that serves the indigenous Maya in their resistance to extermination which gave rise the US non-profit organization, Red Wind Councils.
