PHOTOS: Wounded Warriors Ride Though Concord

The Soldier Ride started and finished at the Old Manse in Concord on Saturday, Sept. 22.

The GEICO-sponsored Soldier Ride, in which Wounded Warriors "use cycling and the bonds of service to overcome physical, mental, or emotional wounds," rolled through Concord last Saturday, Sept. 22.

The ride started and and finished at The Old Manse on Monument Street and a community picnic was held afterwards for all registered participants.

Along with the Wounded Warriors, members of the community are encouraged to participate by either signing up to ride or by joining the crowd from the sidelines. According to Tom Beardsley, historic site manager for the Old Manse, there were about 2,000 people on the grounds for the Soldier Ride
