WC Shop's Halloween Hats Benefit Local Organizations

a new leaf in West Concord is selling homemade 'Boo-ti-ful Witch hats and the proceeds benefit local organizations Minute Man ARC and Beacon Santa.

a new leaf, the months-old West Concord business specializing in redesigned and consigned home furnishings, is hosting its first fundraiser.

The shop is selling homemade "Boo-ti-ful Witch" hats, and all of the proceeds will be donated to local organizations Minute Man Arc and Beacon Santa.

"Everybody knows somebody who has benefitted from those organizations," said a new leaf's Meg Gaudet, about the choice of local organizations.

Gaudet and co made 30-plus of the hats, which range from spooky to whimsical to steampunk. Most of them are witch hats, but there are also a few bowlers.

The hats range in price from $25 to $55, and Gaudet says they're perfect for people who want to greet Trick-or-Treaters in style, give as a gift to special teachers or even to use as holiday centerpieces.

A new leaf is also planning a "Boo-ti-Ful Witch" hat fashion show on Discover West Concord Day, coming up next Saturday, Oct. 26.
