'Tis the Season for a Holiday House Tour

Second annual Holiday House Tour in historic Concord on Saturday, December 8, 2012

The following announcement was provided by the Concord Musuem.

On the second annual Holiday House Tour organized by the Guild of Volunteers of the Concord Museum, seven of Concord’s most beautiful private homes will be professionally decorated in the holiday spirit by local and Boston-based interior designers.

From 11 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8, guests will be welcomed inside the front doors of these gracious private residences to visit the charming ground floor rooms. From Colonial to Victorian to Shingle Style and more, each house will be decorated in a different holiday theme.  The Concord Museum welcomes you to spend the day in Concord, a small town with a big history, and enjoy the elegant streets, charming cafés, and shops.

Participating designers for the 2012 Holiday House Tour are Janice Battle of Beyond the Garden; Dennis Duffy and Brooke Warner of Duffy Design Group; Jean Hogan Interiors; Kristin Paton Interiors; Chad Michael Peters; Heidi Pribell Interiors; Stephanie Rossi, Spazio Rosso Interior Design; Meghan Shadrick of Meghan’s Inspired Interiors; Sharyl Stropkay of LifeStyle Interiors.

Tickets are available in advance through Dec. 6 at the Concord Museum or by phone (978) 369-9763, ext. 216.

Advance tickets are $40 Concord Museum Members; $45 Non-Members.  $50 Day of Tickets may be purchased on Dec. 8 at the Concord Museum beginning at 11 a.m. On the day of the tour, all ticket holders must pick up their House Tour maps at the Concord Museum on Cambridge Turnpike.

The Holiday House Tour is coordinated by Kathleen Walsh and Jennifer McGrath of the Concord Museum’s Guild of Volunteers. The Tour is generously sponsored by area businesses including Artéé Fabrics & Home, Barrett & Company Real Estate, Battle Associates Architects, Boston Design Center, Boynton Brennan Builders, Design Associates, Inc., Dover Rug & Home, Kistler & Knapp Builders Inc., William Raveis Real Estate, Mortgage & Insurance.  

Proceeds from the Holiday House Tour benefit the Concord Museum’s education initiatives. As an educational resource for Concord and the region and a gateway to Concord’s history, the Museum is open 362 days a year and annually attracts more than 35,000 visitors from Greater Boston, as well as from all 50 states and 20 countries.
