When Do Concord's Schools Break for Thanksgiving?

Local students will have a few days off next week for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Thanksgiving is next Thursday, which means food, family, friends and football.

The holiday also means turkey and travel -- an estimated 43.4 million Americans expected to travel. With all that going on, and all those Americans moving about, many students will have a few days off from school.

Just how many depends on the district. Wondering when Concord's public schools close for Thanksgiving?

We found on the Concord Public Schools and Concord-Carlisle Regional School District website, where the calendars say students will have a half-day on Wednesday, Nov. 27, the day before Thanksgiving.

School is obviously closed on Thursday, Nov. 28, for Thanksgiving Day. And the schools won't be in session on Friday, Nov. 29, either.

Concord's public school students will return to the classroom on Monday, Dec. 2.

As for the town's private schools, Fenn School will have a half-day on Nov. 27, with no classes on Thanksgiving Day or Friday, Nov. 29. Same with the Nashoba Brooks School

Concord Academy will have no classes Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. Meanwhile, at Middlesex School, the Thanksgiving Vacation begins Saturday, Nov. 23.
