CONGRESS SHOULD NOT SURRENDER TRADE PROMOTION AUTHORITY

Open Letter  Honorable State Representative, Jordan Elery & all NH State Representives:
This letter responds to recent communications about so-called "free trade agreements" with all State Representatives and specifically to Honorable Jordan Ulery's email stating his support of these regional arrangements such as North Atlantic Free Trade Association (NAFTA). I oppose his contention, for these agreements are traveling a path into internationalism, where a superior "rule of law" will rule supreme over constitutional domestic law. The sincerity of Mr. Ulery is not in question. For this deceptive effort to achieve regional government has had some powerful influence from power seeking megalomaniacs since the 1950's post WWII era.
Let's go back to the European Coal and Steel Community(ECSC) an agreement between Belgium, Germany, France, Italy and Luxembourg. This agenda grew into the a regional trade authority by 1957 called the European Common Market. Fast forward into the nineties; the deception grows into the European Union(EU), starting just like NAFTA, an authority ruling over commerce. But what this trade agreement has now become, is a 28 nation super state, ruling with executive, legislative and judicial authority. The sovereignty of the 28 nations is obsolete. Why should we be surprised? Caterpillars do become butterflies. This is the nature of what has been called "free trade" that we call NAFTA.
Now, let us look upon the EU as our model. Keep its deceptive formation in mind and come back to our domestic mirror image duplication growing beyond NAFTA. In March 2005 President Bush signed with Mexico and Canada the Security Prosperity Partnership(SSP), a trilateral cooperative move to transform NAFTA into the North American Union(NAU). Check out the blueprint published by the Council on Foreign Relations(CFR) publication called "Building a North American Community for transforming NAFTA into the NAU." It is not by accident that in one Administration after another they have proven that the controlling leadership of both Democrat and Republican parties have a priority to pervert congressional power to regulate commerce given in Article I, section 8 of the United States Constitution that gives Congress the sole power to regulate commerce.
The plot thickens. Now let us fast forward to February 12, 2013. Pay careful attention to President Obama's words in his televised "State of the Union Address to Congress: "To boost American exports, support American jobs and level the playing field in the growing markets of Asia, we intend to complete negotiations on a Trans-Pacific Partnership(TPP). And tonight, I'm announcing that we launch talks on a comprehensive Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership with the European Union --- because trade that is fair and free across the Atlantic supports millions of good paying american jobs." Yes, more jobs will be created, but they will be bureaucratic agencies increasing government overhead on the taxpayers’ back. Imagine how many unelected international bureaucracies these new sovereignty-destroying agreements will cause.http://www.thenewamerican.com/search?q=Trans-Pacific+PartnershipDo you realize the magnitude of this proposal? The TTP will entangle us in an agreement like NAFTA with 11 countries:" Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore and Vietnam. Add to this the TTIP which will entangle us in an agreement with 28 EU nations. When you look at the wisdom of our founders: Washington was emphatic: “Tis our true policy to steer clear of permanent alliances with any portion of the foreign world.”(1896) So was Jefferson in 1799; he offered: "Commerce with all nations, alliance with none, should be our motto." Are any so naive to believe that this so called "free trade" trend that is in reality "controlled trade" by the World Trade Organization (WTO) all happened by accident? See the below areas these so-called new free trade entanglements the TPP and TTIP will control.
Now, let us see how the power behind this has made it easier to pass their agenda, greasing the skids with Trade Promotion Authority(TPA). Those who advocate TPA to make government more efficient, need to be reminded that the most efficient governments on earth are ruthlessly efficient. They needed to change the rules for the program to succeed.TPA was surrendered by Congress from 1974 to1994 and renewed from 2004 to 2007. It is apparent that the TTP and the TTIP advocates will push Congress again to give away their power to  the Executive branch, allowing the president to team up with trade agreement advocates in Congress. Under TPA rules, trade pacts only can be voted up or down within 60 days, without the power to amend or filibuster. TPA must be defeated. Imagine Congress will be handed such sovereignty-destroying agreements with only the power to  say “yes” or “no'” with no power to filibuster or amend.
Will Nancy Pelosi's sobering words ring true again: "We have to pass it so we can find out what's in it?” Imagine just four pages, only 4100 words of "eternal wisdom" created the greatest document in human history, the United States Constitution. Compare this to NAFTA's thousands of pages. The TPP has 29 chapters with only 4 dealing with trade. What are in the other 24 chapters of these secretly negotiated agreements? The following information has leaked out by participants of negotiations dissatisfied with one provision or another: negotiations about climate change, sustainable development, homeland security, the military and International Courts. From what is already made public about TPP, we are likely to see areas of: Outsourcing jobs, undermining food safety, curtailing internet freedom, more expensive medicines, threats to public health and attacks on U.S. laws in supranational tribunals. Never has the humor about the drunk on the Titanic been more true: "I asked for ice, but this is ridiculous."
The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership TTIP has a list almost twice as long of infringements on our sovereign power to rule our own destiny. I will be going into exposing the "powers that be" behind this move to make America obsolete as we know it in a forth coming letter. After all, this "free trade" is so good that we're getting a good deal trading our Constitution and Declaration for Independence for it. Let's find out who is making this marvelous trade and give them credit for treason.
Sincerely & Respectfully
