Knit Wit

What started as a therapeutic outlet for an awkward teenager (and who wasn't one?!) has evolved into a fashion line that is on the cusp of tremendous!  Shout out to the biology teacher/student counselor that taught founder Carina how to knit!

Carina (gorgeous, sweet, uber fashionable, gifted founder) has a background in fashion, and has always had a passion for creating beautiful chunky knits.  "I'm like a bag of skittles - I love color!"  Met a pal at a boot camp class who happened to be a whiz in finance, et voila, the third piece became a company.  Now employing 5 full time knitters and getting recognition with industry icons...like Henri Bendel!

the third piece was invited to Henri Bendel's open see, and the Fifth Avenue legend picked up the line, then invited them back for a trunk show, and now is also home to the exlcusive New Yorker oversized scarf that wraps twice and has cable pockets.  November 17th there is another trunk show back at Bendel's flagship store, but if you can't wait just call and order one!  1-800-HBENDEL

The line offers the turban, the hooded infinity (Carina's fave piece "never have a bad hair day"), the Ope hat (named after the character on Sons of Anarchy), and the mini MITT (2 glove styles in one!).  100% merino wool sourced in NYC and hand knit in Boston.  But don't be scared, the line is gentle in pricing despite all of these impressive design facts!

Winter is the season of dark clothing.  the third piece is the perfect way to add some luscious rich fun colors to the palate!  Just in time for a little holiday shopping come to the Trunk Show November 13th 6-8pm at Cafeteria in Boston (click here for directions).  As if reversecommuter wasn't already in love with the knit designs of the third piece, guess what the name of the trunk show is?  "KNITS & CHAMPS".  sigh, I think it's love.
