Caller Reports Seeing Drone Flying Low in the Area of Cousins Field

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Oct. 23

12:43 a.m. - Reports of two people observed leaving the West Concord Laudromat seen exiting the rear office of the business. Officers checked, business was secure.

8:08 a.m. - Called dialed 911 from her cell phone after her car broke down on Main Street by Damon Street and that she had a tow enroute. Police kept an extra eye on the car until the tow arrived.

8:35 a.m. - Hospital shuttle bus driver reported seeing the door to a house for sale on Main Street had its front door wide open with no one in the area. Officers checked the house, door was accidentally left open by friends of homeowner. House was secured.

9:12 a.m. - Reports of a disabled motor vehicle blocking a driveway on Old Bedford Road.

10:14 a.m. - Lincoln Police notified Concord Police that they received a call about a man dressed in Army fatigues with his face painted, carrying a backpack walking toward Sybase. Lincoln police were en route to check the area. They called back to report they received a call from Sybase and they do not know the man is parked in his vehicle in the rear of facility. Area was checked, and they were unable to locate the man. He may have been a hunter. Car was located in area of Sybase.

11:13 a.m. - Police received a traffic complaint about vehicles taking a right on red from Sudbury Road onto Rte. 2 East during the morning rush hour and requested extra enforcement.  

4:48 p.m. - Police received a call from a resident who said while walking on a trail beginning from Wright Road that leads to the Acton town water supply, she discovered two dead beavers. She reported she believed it may have been the result of illegal hunting. Animal Control was advised.  

5:58 p.m. - Reports of a disabled motor vehicle on Rte. 2 West by Baker Avenue in the travel lane.  AAA contacted by the driver and vehicle was moved off the roadway.

7:45 p.m. - Police received multiple calls reporting an injured deer on the Cambridge Turnpike by the Concord Museum. The animal was put down due to its injuries.

8:16 p.m. - Police received a call about a suspicious person, in their 50s, wearing a denim shirt attempting to get into his car on Middle Road. The individual apologized and then began walking and was seen trying to get into other vehicles. Police responded to the area but were unable to locate the person. No damage to any motor vehicle was found.      

8:16 p.m. - Police received a 911 call from Frances Street to say he saw a drone flying low in the area of Cousins Field. Hanscom tower was notified and reported they had no information on drones flying in Concord. No other calls received.  

9:06 p.m. - Reports of a disabled CVS truck on Rte. 2 West by Rte. 126. State Police advised and en route.

10:23 p.m. - A report was taken in the station from a woman who said she lost her purse at the First Parish church earlier in the night with her drivers license and credit cards inside. Woman later called to report she found her purse.
