Chaos at TD Garden Techno Concert; 80+ Treated After Booze, Drug Use
About 35 people were transported to local hospitals.
A techno concert at TD Garden Wednesday night descended into chaos as more than 80 people were reportedly treated by medical personnel after widespread alcohol and drug use.
WHDH/7News reported about 35 people were transported to local hospitals, while the rest were evaluated at the scene. Heat may have also played a factor.
The mayhem happened during a performance by Avicii, a Swedish DJ.
The artist, whose real name is Tim Bergling, tweeted this message after the concert:
"Just hearing the awful news abt tonight. Its a terrible thing, I rly hope everyone is ok! My thoughts go to those affected & their families."
None of the concertgoers were in serious condition, according to WHDH.
