A Concord man who tried to avoid a deer and crashed last week charged with OUI and negligent driving.

Michael Reilly, 47, of 93 Kenney Ln., Concord, was also charged with a lane violation.

According to a police report, Reilly crashed into a tree in the backyard of a home at 55 Fuller Ln. He was apparently trying to avoid a deer in the road. His vehicle flipped over, but Reilly was not hurt.

The car was left leaning up against a utility pole, according to the report. Police alerted Verizon to check on the pole's integrity.
