Court Reviews Coming For Middlesex Drug Cases Linked to Dookhan, JP Lab

Drug cases from Concord could be included in the series of reviews.

Special court sessions for Middlesex County defendants whose cases are possibly liked to disgraced state leb chemist Annie Dookhan are scheduled to start on Monday, Oct. 21, according to the Lowell Sun.

The sessions are being held to review cases that may have been tainted by Dookhan, who is facing charges for falsifying lab test results in criminal cases involving drugs, according to the newspaper. Dookhan worked at the now-closed William A. Hinton State Labratory Institute.

It's not clear whether any Concord cases are included. The Middlesex County District Attorney's Office is not releasing defendants names, according to the paper. The DA's office said it used the lab from 2003 - 2009, according to the paper.

Judge Maureen Hogan will hold the sessions at the Middlesex Superior Court in Woburn, according to The Sun. The first round of cases is expected to take a week with defendeants appearing in court through a video link from the prison in which they are being held.
