New Details on Concord Woman Struck, Killed By Train

The investigation into the Dec. 14 accident is ongoing, but police say there is no reason to suspect foul play was involved.

 

A 28-year-old in an accident that occurred about two-tenths of a mile west of the Route 2 overpass, near Baker Avenue. 

The accident occurred at about 8:14 p.m. last Friday night and the train’s 20 or so passengers were transferred to busses waiting nearby, according to police.

As of Tuesday morning, Concord and Transit police were still investigating the incident and awaiting results of the medical examiner’s report, Police Chief Barry Neal said.

While the investigation is ongoing, Neal was able to provide some details about the event.

Police believe the woman was alone at the time of the accident, according to the Neal, who said "there's nothing to lead us to believe there was any foul play involved."
