Pedestrian Seriously Hurt in Route 2 Crash

Police said the driver of the vehicle that hit the pedestrian had an expired registration and no insurance.

A pedestrian was seriously hurt after he was struck by a car on Route 2 Wednesday night.

The man, who was not identified, was transported to Tufts Medical Center, WHDH/7News reported.

The vehicle was a Volvo station wagon. Police said the driver had an expired registration and no insurance.

The crash happened just before midnight.
