Police: False Alarms of Carbon Monoxide Leaks and Suspicious Partygoers

The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

Wednesday, Oct. 3

8:47 a.m.- Police received a call reporting an erratic driver on North Road heading southbound. The caller reported the driver was swerving across the road, and that there was a child in the back seat of the car. Officers responded and pulled the car over on North Road at Harvard Drive. Responding officers determined the driver was not impaired and had been swerving to avoid pot holes. 

12:05 p.m. - Police received a call from Middlesex Community College reporting that someone had locked themself out of their car. Officers responded, but MCC security was able to assist the caller in gaining access to their vehicle before officers arrived. 

4:26 p.m.- A patrolling officer reported a disabled vehicle in front of 99 Hancock Street. The officer spoke with the driver who was able to make it to a gas station to get his car fixed.

Thursday, Oct. 4

2:54 a.m.- Police received a call reporting a carbon monoxide leak at 10 Emery Road. Responding officers reported a faulty detector with no readings throughout the residence.

7:56 a.m.- A guest at the Bedford Plaza Hotel called BPD to report two adults yelling at a child that was not their own. 

10:55 a.m.- An individual came into the Bedford Police Department with a liscense plate that had fallen off a trailer. An officer looked up the registration and contacted the owner, who came to pick up the plate.

8:51 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a suspicious vehicle parked on Lido Lane. The caller did not recognize the vehicle or the individual driving. The individual got out of the car and walked toward the street's cul de sac. Officers responded and reported there was a gathering happening at one of the houses on the street, with cars parked up and down the road.
