Police Log: A Boat Washes Ashore, A Camera Lens Custody Dispute

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, July 29

10:01 a.m. – Multiple calls came in reporting a motor vehicle struck a light pole and flipped on Strawberry Hill Road. The responding officers shut down the roadway as there were wires down across the street.

11:46 a.m. – An email came in reporting a suspicious website, which detectives planned to follow-up on.

12:12 p.m. – A call came in from the Club Car Café reporting an employee’s ex-boyfriend came into the restaurant, in violation of a restraining order. The ex, a West Newton resident, was summonsed for violation of an abuse prevention order.

1:16 p.m. – Emerson Hospital security reported illegally parked vehicles by the hospital’s emergency room.

2:12 p.m. – A Main Street resident reported an aluminum boat washed up on his lawn. Police contacted the South Bridge Boat House, which had lost a boat and planned to respond.

4:06 p.m. – Police responded to a reported hit-and-run accident in which a MedStar ambulance was struck while parked on Baker Avenue.

11:33 p.m. – A call came in reporting a disturbance involving loud music on Dunbar Way.

Tuesday, July 30

6:36 a.m. – A Concord man called from Hong Kong to report a marital property issue involving a camera lens that was last in the possession of his ex-wife, a Barretts Mill Road resident.

6:56 a.m. – A 911 caller reported a bicyclist was struck by a motor vehicle in the area of Lowell and Keyes roads.

9:17 a.m. – Police responded to a reported ongoing traffic complaint regarding speeding vehicles and improper passing along Barretts Mill Road.

10:02 a.m. – A Bradford Street resident reported a breaking-and-entering to his motor vehicle.

10:17 a.m. – A Maple Street reported money missing from the motor vehicle she left unlocked overnight outside of her residence.

2:52 p.m. – A 911 call came in from the Minuteman ARC reporting a motor vehicle accident on Main Street.

6:23 p.m. – Police responded to a report of people playing loud music at White Pond, by the Varick Street entrance. The responding officer reported all was quiet at the time.

6:47 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Lowell Road, near Lindsay Pond Road.

9:51 p.m. – An Hill Street resident reported a dog had been barking for an hour-and-a-half.

10:13 p.m. – A Stone Root Lane resident called to complain about construction noise coming from the Indian Pipe Lane area. The responding officer located new homeowners moving in on Indian Pipe Lane, and advised them of the complaint.
