Police Log: A Canoe Found, a Hit-and-Run and Many More Motor Vehicle Stops
The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Friday, Dec. 6
12:57 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop at Route 2 and Walden Street, a Boxborough woman was issued a warning for a red light violation.
1:57 a.m. – An officer radioed in to report checking on a van parked by the Nine Acre Convenience Store. The vehicle belonged to the cleaners, according to the incident report.

6:17 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Lexington and Old Bedford roads, a Clinton man was issued a verbal warning for unspecified motor vehicle violations.
7:51 a.m. – State Police reported a motor vehicle accident on Walden Street, just north of Route 2. One driver was cited and a vehicle was towed.

10:23 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop at Route 2 and Old Road to Nine Acre Corner, a Concord resident was cited for no inspection sticker and given a verbal warning for unregistered motor vehicle.
10:57 a.m. – A Concord man came into the station to report finding a blue canoe by the Assabet River, off Assabet Avenue.
11:16 a.m. – Officers investigated a reported hit-and-run accident in which a vehicle was struck while parked on Commonwealth Avenue, causing damage to a side view mirror.
12:23 p.m. – A parking complaint came in reporting a red Jeep parked on Main Street near the library. The responding officer reported there were no issues at the time.
2:03 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop at Monument Square and Bedford Street, a Carlisle man was given a verbal warning for no inspection sticker.
4:33 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident at Route 2 and Walden Street.
6:17 p.m. – A Conant Street resident called to report a past break-in to his unlocked vehicle, which reportedly occurred sometime Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
11 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Main Street and Baker Avenue, a Lowell woman received a verbal warning for an equipment violation.
