Police Log: A Cluster of Car Breaks, Pool Hopping and an OUI

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, June 27

12:57 a.m. – An officer reported finding a bag of personal property on Dover Street that belonged to a nearby resident. Following up, the officer discovered multiple car-breaks in the area.

8:10 a.m. – A call came in from a Sudbury Road business reporting a teenager had picked up a black backpack behind a dumpster in the parking lot. A detail officer located the teen, who checked OK; the backpack was his property.

8:12 a.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Baker Avenue Ext. and Main Street in West Concord. There were no injuries reported, but both vehicles were towed.

11:34 a.m. – Police responded to a reported possible car-break on Easton Street. There was no damage to the vehicle and nothing was reported missing.

4:37 p.m. – A 911 caller reported a silver Chevy Impala operating erratically on Sudbury Road inbound from Wheeler.

8:49 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Concord Turnpike and Old Road to Nine Acre Corner, a Taunton man was cited for operating a motor vehicle with his license suspended.

9:18 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 2 and Walden Street, A Quincy woman was cited for operating a motor vehicle after her license was suspended.

Friday, June 28

1:06 a.m. – An officer radioed in to report checking on motor vehicles with Mass and New Hampshire plates in the Walden Street parking lot. The motorists were there talking, and checked OK.

1:47 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop by the Thoreau Depot, Jonathan Tyler Koning, of 96 Pheasant Hill Lane, Carlisle, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor and littering. According to the incident report, a female exited the vehicle and fled on foot. The motor vehicle was turned over to Koning’s parents. After several attempts to locate her, the girl’s parents eventually called CPD to advise their daughter was home safe.

9:25 a.m. – Police responded to a report of boys and girls bicycles that had been leaning against a tree at Rideout Field for about a week. They were brought back to the station.

1:25 p.m. – A Cemetery Division employee reported vandalism to a bench at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.

4:43 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident on Main Street in West Concord.

6:21 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 2 and Sudbury Road, a Medford man was cited for operating a motor vehicle with his license suspended.

8:25 p.m. – A Concord Greene resident reported a group of people jumped the fence and were swimming in the complex’s pool.
