Police Log: A Fall from a Ladder and a Third-Offense OUI

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, Nov. 23

2:20 a.m. – An officer radioed in to report a vehicle parked at Concord-Carlisle High School with no one around.

6:23 a.m. – Police responded to a commercial burglary alarm at Concord Country Club on Old Road to Nine Acre Corner. It was confirmed as accidental by employees.

12:30 p.m. – A Prescott Road resident called 911 to report her husband fell off of a ladder and needed medical assistance. While she was on the phone, her husband reported he fell approximately three feet and did not need medical attention.

1:34 p.m. – Police responded to an alarm activation on Musketaquid Road. It was confirmed as accidental by landscapers.

5:55 p.m. – A woman called 911 to request a well-being check on an older man who she saw walking a black dog on Monument Street by the Fenn School. The responding officer reported he was unable to locate the man in question.

6:56 p.m. – A 911 call came in reporting a blue sedan operating erratically on Lowell Road heading toward Monument Square. The responding officer was unable to locate the vehicle in question.  

11:34 p.m. – An Ash Street resident called 911 to report she and her husband observed a man walk across the street and enter the passenger’s side of a sedan. The caller said the hazard lights of the vehicle were on, and her husband attempted to speak with the man, who appeared intoxicated. As a result, Charles H Shattuck, of 207 Cottage Park Road, Winthrop, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor (third offense), leaving the scene of property damage and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
