Police Log: Flag Draped Over the Old North Bridge and $50K in Jewelry Reported Stolen

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, Oct. 5

9:41 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle into a mailbox on Lowell Road. The responding officer reported the homeowner and driver would work it out.

12:28 p.m. – Police responded to a report of two vehicles operating erratically on Route 2 east heading out of Concord by Crosby’s Corner. Officers notified State and Lincoln police.

12:38 p.m. – A 911 call came in reporting a needle in the parking lot at Serafina’s on Sudbury Road.

1:05 p.m. – A 911 call came in reporting a woman with dementia attempting to leave Concord Health Care on Old Road to Nine Acre Corner. Armstrong Ambulance responded and took the woman to the hospital.

1:42 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle vs. dog accident in the area of Sudbury Road and Old Road to Nine Acre Corner.

4:44 p.m. – Police responded to a report of loud music at a Strawberry Hill Road residence. The resident was advised of the complaint.

6:25 p.m. – An Annursnac Hill Road resident reported hearing loud music somewhere by her house. The responding officer reported it was the music from Strawberry Hill Road.

Sunday, Oct. 6

12:12 a.m. – An Old Bedford Road resident called to complain about the noise coming from a loud party on Black Duck Road. The homeowner was advised to keep the noise down.

12:32 a.m. – A Lindsay Pond Road resident called to report a succession of loud noises in the area, possibly from fireworks.

10:26 a.m. – A parking complaint came in reporting a vehicle blocking the crosswalk at the upper fields at Concord-Carlisle High School.

12:09 p.m. – Police responded to a report of suspicious activity at Minute Man National Historical Park, where a man had reportedly draped an American flag over the Old North Bridge.

7:20 p.m. – A 911 misdial came in from Newbury Courte. Staff confirmed it was an emergency.

8:59 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop on Elm Street, Kurt William Murther, of 21 Brookline Ave., Apt. 109, Cambridge, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with his license revoked, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation and operating under the influence of drugs.
