Police Log: A Hit-and-Run Accident, Concord Woman Arrested After Chase

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Nov. 6

1:34 a.m. – An officer radioed in to report checking on a man sleeping inside a vehicle with Rhode Island plates parked at Concord Crossing. The man planned to move along shortly, according to the incident report.

10:08 a.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the Everett Gardens parking lot.

12:14 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Main Street and Brook Trail Road.

2:16 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Main Street and Staffordshire Lane, a Concord man was cited for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and expired inspection speaker.

2:43 p.m. – Police responded to Emerson Hospital to assist with an out-of-control patient, who was reportedly being uncooperative in the triage area. Officers assisted staff in getting the patient back into his room and settled, according to the incident report.

3:18 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a past hit-and-run accident involving a vehicle parked at Concord-Carlisle High School.

5:18 p.m. – Maynard Police requested mutual aid in the pursuit of a vehicle heading toward Concord on Route 62 following a motor vehicle accident in Stow. The vehicle was eventually stopped at Verrill Farm off Route 117, resulting in the arrest of a Concord woman—which you can read about here.

7:40 p.m. – A fire captain called to complain about a yellow Jeep Wrangler that reportedly passed around a fire apparatus while it was in the street, with its lights on, in front of the Concord Fire Department on Walden Street, nearly striking a firefighter who was in the road. Police checked the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle in question.
