Police Log: A Jewelry Heist and Suspicious Vehicles

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not include a conviction.

Thursday, Nov. 29

10:19 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a vehicle parked in a bad location on Academy Lane. The plates came back as registered to a Concord resident and police were unable to locate the owner, so the responding officer issued a ticket for parking in a “No Parking” zone.

11:16 a.m. – An employee from Fairbank and Perry Goldsmiths reported a woman left the store after attempting to shoplift some jewelry. Police located the woman on Walden Street and arrested her. Teresa Joanne DeSimone, 64, of Seattle, Wash., was arrested and charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise.

11:29 a.m. – A Billerica woman reported an ongoing traffic complaint involving vehicles failing to stop and yield when entering Monument Square.

3:44 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a white van following and tailgating a Concord man’s vehicle from Lincoln on Route 2A to Lexington Road by Alcott Road. Police were unable to locate the other vehicle in question.

4:13 p.m. – A Concord man walked into the station to report suspicious bank activity on his accounts.

4:21 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a minor two-car collision on Main Street by Thoreau Street.

10:24 p.m. – An Everett Street resident reported receiving annoying phone calls from a female acquaintance.
