Police Log: A Loose Pit Bull, a Lost Package and Suspicious Emails

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, Feb. 2

12:20 a.m. – A Lowell Road resident called in a noise complaint involving a carpet cleaning van parked at the Rite Aid pharmacy with its compressor hose running into the establishment.

9:42 a.m. – A 911 call reported a motor vehicle vs. pedestrian accident on Commonwealth Avenue, near Concord Teacakes. An ambulance transported the male patient to Emerson Hospital.

12:22 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Lowell and Barnes Hill roads.

4:03 p.m. – A Butternut Circle resident reported possible scam activity involving a transfer of funds using his CVS money card.

11:37 p.m. – Police responded to a reported noise complaint on Nashoba Road involving loud kids running around outside a home there. The caller wished to remain anonymous.

11:43 p.m. – A Dunbar Way resident reported loud music coming from a neighboring home. The responding officer spoke with a resident at the home in question, who admitted the music was on but turned off prior to the police response.

Sunday, Feb. 3

10:18 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a vehicle running behind the Cottage on Monument Street for three hours with three dogs inside.

12:24 p.m. – A Highland Street resident reported he has been receiving a series of strange emails.

1:48 p.m. – Two calls came in reporting a loose pit bull dog at the Thoreau School. The dog’s owner, a Chase Road resident, was issued a citation.

2:21 p.m. – A Shore Drive resident called to complain about a loose Golden Retriever from his neighbor’s house that was no on his property, barking. The dog officer was notified to follow up.

6:31 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a package missing from Old Marlboro Road, which was reportedly delivered Jan. 31 while the homeowner was out of town.
