Police Log: A Lost Au Pair, a Suspicious Package Turns Out to be Trash
The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Thursday, Sept. 12
6:49 a.m. – Police responded to multiple calls reporting a suspicious man carrying a beer bottle on Walden Street. The responding officer located the person in question, who stated he was staying at a house on Walden Street and had not left the front steps.
7:34 a.m. – A 911 call came in reporting a motor vehicle accident at the John Cummings Building on Old Road to Nine Acre Corner. It was a minor collision, with paperwork exchanged, according to the incident report.

10:48 a.m. – A parking complaint came in reporting a vehicle parked close to a hydrant on Belknap Street. The responding officer issued a citation for the infraction.
1:10 p.m. – Police responded to a report of railroad gates stuck down at the Baker Avenue crossing.

3:50 p.m. – A Walden Street resident requested that a package left by her fire hydrant near her home be checked for suspicious activity. The responding officer reported the so-called package was, in fact, only trash.
4:05 p.m. – Police responded to a report of two vehicles parked in a No Parking zone on Highland Street by Church. The vehicles were gone on arrival.
5:13 p.m. – An Arrowhead Road resident called 911 to report receiving a suspicious phone call from an unknown subject who wanted her to turn on her computer and provide information.
8 p.m. – An Acton woman called to complain about a black Audi driving very slowly on Route 2 west before pulling into the All-Town Mobil station at Crosby’s Corner. The responding officer located the vehicle, which was driven by an au pair who had gotten lost in the area.
10:54 p.m. – Police responded to a reported disabled motor vehicle on Sudbury Road by Heath’s Bridge Road.
