Police Log: A Pack of Coyotes, an Injured Hawk and Parking Complaints

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Aug. 14

12:01 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a person entering the West Concord Laundromat and never exiting.

6:09 a.m. – Police responded to a reported minor motor vehicle accident in the area of Route 2 east and Old Road to Nine Acre Corner.

7:27 a.m. – A Simon Willard Road resident reported hearing a possible transformer explosion, followed by power loss. The responding officer reported a transformer on the street was blown by an animal.

10:24 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a van backing into the driveway at a Mildred Circle residence where the homeowners were away. The responding officer reported there were workers at the house refinishing floors.

10:34 a.m. – A Middle Street resident reported a gray Subaru had been parked by his home for two days. The responding officer reported the vehicle was parked legally.

1:15 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Commonwealth Avenue and the Concord Rotary; the vehicles pulled off into the lot at MCI-Concord.

1:19 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle accident in the area of Lowell and Barretts Mill roads, a Chelmsford woman was cited for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

4:49 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident on Old Road to Nine Acre Corner. One motorist was transported to Emerson Hospital with minor abrasions, according to the incident report.

6:27 p.m. – A Holdenwood Road resident reported an injured hawk in her yard.

11:25 p.m. – A Stone Root Lane resident reported a pack of coyotes outside of her house.
