Police Log: A Suspicious Entrance on Sudbury Road and More Mailbox Spitting
The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Saturday, Nov. 30
1:18 a.m. – An officer radioed in to report checking on a vehicle parked on Dover Street with its lights on. The vehicle checked secure, and the officer notified the homeowners of the light.
8:29 a.m. – An officer radioed in to report a Thoreau Street road sign was bent at Thoreau and Main.

9:24 a.m. – A Lang Street resident requested overnight parking enforcement on the road.
10:19 a.m. – A Westvale Drive resident reported a confrontation with a wood delivery person who delivers wood to a neighbor.

1:10 p.m. – A Lowell Road resident called to report the small white dog he was watching was missing from the residence. The animal was eventually located on Main Street.
9:55 p.m. – Several calls came in reporting suspicious activity behind the Powers Building on Sudbury Road, where a man was reportedly standing on a van and trying to access the building through a side window. According to the incident report the man was the owner of a business in the Powers Building who didn’t have access to the second story storage.
Sunday, Dec. 1
1:09 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 2 by Sudbury Road, a Fitchburg man received a verbal warming about speeding.
2:24 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Lexington Road and Cambridge Turnpike, a Lexington man was given a verbal warning about marked lanes violations.
7:33 a.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle rollover on Route 2 westbound by Route 126.
7:40 a.m. – Police responded to another accident on Route 2 west, also by Route 126.
8:41 a.m. – A 911 call came in reporting a motor vehicle into a tree on Cambridge Turnpike.
9:47 a.m. – A 911 call came in reporting a motor vehicle accident involving a vehicle into a tree on Holdenwood Road.
11:12 a.m. – Police responded to a parking complaint about a trailer that had been on Indian Pipe Lane for about three weeks. The trailer’s owner, a tree company, advised he was unaware of the overnight parking bylaw.
3:30 p.m. – A Monument Street resident came into the station to file a third report that someone was spitting on his mailbox.
7:34 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Route 2 east. State Police were on the scene to handle.
