Police Log: Accidents Happen

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Nov. 1

12:52 a.m. – An officer radioed in to report he was out checking on a vehicle at the Rotary Gulf. The vehicle had a flat tire its registered owner was attempting to make arrangements.

2:19 a.m. – An officer reported he was out checking on a vehicle at the Mobil station on Main Street. The vehicle’s driver reported filling the tire with air.

3:20 a.m. – An officer radioed in to report checking on a vehicle in the Papa Razzi parking lot with its lights on and a man inside. The man was apparently waiting there to meet some others before heading into Boston for work, the incident report said.

 6:15 a.m. – A call came in from Main Street Market and Café reporting a woman possibly asleep inside a BMW with its motor on outside the restaurant. Police checked on the vehicle, and reported its driver was OK and just resting.

2:38 p.m. – A Riverside Avenue resident reported a school bus took down some wires at the corner of Riverside and Derby Street. Derby was shut down at Central Street and the responding officer reported there was damage to the pole and wires from the storm and minor damage to the bus, the incident report said.

5:53 p.m. – A Buckmaster Drive resident reported seeing a suspicious brown pickup driving down Old Stow Road toward Action. The caller thought it was suspicious because he does not see many trucks in the area, the police report said.

6:35 p.m. – A traffic complaint came in reporting a truck parked near Starbucks to make a delivery was impeding traffic.

6:47 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a two-car motor vehicle accident on Route 2 east in the area o the State Police barracks.
