Police Log: Alarm Activations and a Possibly Sick Raccoon

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Aug. 31

12:39 a.m. – An officer radioed in to report he was checking on an open door found at the maintenance shed at Concord-Carlisle High School.

2:25 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a kitchen motion alarm at a Barretts Mill Road residence. The responding officer checked on an unsecure door, and the interior of the home checked OK.

7:35 a.m. – A Chestnut Street resident reported a large disabled truck on Walnut Street that may be a traffic hazard. Emergency responders confirmed the roadway was not passable by fire apparatus due to the blockage caused by a paving truck with a broken drive shaft, according to the incident report.

11:52 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a minor, two-vehicle collision in the parking lot at Crosby’s Market.

12:53 p.m. – Stanley Security called in a residential alarm activation on Westford Road. The address checked secure.

4:10 p.m. – A Concord woman called to report a possibly sick raccoon on Main Street in West Concord.

8:22 p.m. – A 911 caller reported she was upstairs inside her Westford Road home and heard some noises coming from downstairs. The woman said it was possibly a domestic animal, but she was concerned because she heard male voices outside her home earlier in the day. The responding officer reported the interior checked secure, and all of the doors were locked.

11:06 p.m. – A security company called to report a general burglar alarm on Coppermine Road. The responding officer reported it was an accidental activation.
