Police Log: Alarms, Left Turns Out of Starbucks and an Arrest

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Nov. 18

8:02 a.m. – A Highway Division employee radioed in to report a vehicle parked in an illegal spot in Monument Square, causing a traffic hazard by Lowell Road. The responding officer ticketed the vehicle.

10:43 a.m. – A 911 hang-up came in from Newbury Court. It was confirmed as accidental.

3:09 p.m. – A 911 call came in from Emerson Hospital. It was confirmed as an accidental misdial by an employee.

6:56 p.m. – Police responded to a reported power outage at Concord Country Club on Old Road to Nine Acre Corner.

Tuesday, Nov. 19

8:49 a.m. – A call came in complaining about illegal left turns out of the Starbucks parking lot on Sudbury Road and requesting extra enforcement at the location.

11 a.m. – An employee from the Council on Aging requested a well-being check on a Concord Greene Resident. The responding officer reported the woman was with her daughter, and the COA was informed there were no issues.

11:28 a.m. – An officer stopped to assist a disabled motor vehicle on Route 2 east by Old Road to Nine Acre Corner. The vehicle was removed by AAA.

1:08 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a vehicle parked in the Harvey Wheeler Community Center parking lot, which she believed belonged to an employee of a nearby business. Officers notified the vehicle’s owner of the complaint.

1:30 p.m. – A 911 call came in from a Fern Street resident reporting her son was pushing her. As a result, McKenzie Patrick Keefe, of 32 Fern St., Concord, was arrested and charged with assault and battery, as well as on a misdemeanor warrant from another department.

2:21 p.m. – A resident called to complain about the operation of a motor vehicle earlier in the day, in which the driver cut her off in West Concord.

3:51 p.m. – Police responded to a reported identity theft on Plainfield Road.

8:28 p.m. – Police responded to a report of suspicious activity involving a red pickup truck on the side of Old Bedford Road, with its emergency flashers on for about four hours. The responding officer reported the vehicle had run out of gas and would be moved as soon as possible.

9:09 p.m. – Police responded to a burglary alarm activation at the Concord Free Public Library. It was confirmed as accidental by cleaners.
