Police Log: Alleged Assaults, Family Problems and a Car Break

The following information was provided by the Lexington Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, June 29

12:07 a.m. – An Emerson Hospital employee reported being punched by a male patient, who continued to be unruly. As a result, a Lancaster man, who was admitted to the hospital, was to be summonsed for assault and battery.

2:06 a.m. – A caller reported witnessing an allegedly intoxicated driver heading into town on Route 2 east. Police checked on a vehicle that matched the time and caller’s description, and reported the driver checked OK.

3:55 a.m. – Acton Fire requested patrols meet an ambulance at Emerson Hospital, where it was transporting a male subject allegedly involved in a fight at the Concordian Motel on Route 2. Police assisted with the transport, and the man cooperated, according to the incident report.

12:57 p.m. – A Lawsbrook Road resident requested assistance with his mother, who was refusing to leave the home. The mother left without incident, according to the incident report.

5:03 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop on Harrington Ave., Nathaniel Codding, of 104 Whittemore St., Concord, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor (second offense) and no inspection sticker.

11:45 p.m. – Police responded Michael’s Restaurant on Route 117 for a report of a man threatening employees with a hammer. After a struggle with police during which he was sprayed, Courtland I. Thompson, 23, of 34 Alta Road., Sudbury, was arrested and charged with four counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, two counts of assault and battery on a police officer, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Sunday, June 30

12:46 a.m. – A River Street resident reported hearing boats rattling near the South Bridge Boat House and witnessing a small sports car leaving the area. Police checked the area, and all appeared in order.

10:55 a.m. – A Ridge Road resident reported finding a mixed-breed husky-type dog in the area. A resident later reported losing his dog, which matched the description.

12:09 p.m. – Police responded to a report of an erratic operator in a black Mercedes on Route 2. The vehicle was last seen heading east past Tracy’s Corner in Lincoln, so Lincoln PD and State Police were advised.

5:34 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 2 at Sudbury Road, a Malden woman was cited for operating with a suspended registration. 

7:41 p.m. – A Concord man came into the station to report his motor vehicle was broken into while parked at Rideout Field earlier in the evening, and his wallet was stolen.
