Police Log: Alleged Fireworks Activity and a Kid Without a Car Seat

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, July 4

12:02 a.m. – Police responded to a report of fireworks activity in the area of Sudbury Road by Academy Lane. The responding officer reported firework activity in the area, but he was unable to located the persons involved.

12:15 a.m. – A 911 caller reported two possibly intoxicated men in the parking lot of her Conant Street apartment. The responding officer reported both subjects checked OK; one was a resident being dropped off at home.

1:01 p.m. – A Shore Drive resident called in a parking complaint regarding multiple vehicles parked on her street with no permits. The responding officer ticketed two of them.

1:30 p.m. – A 911 caller reported a motor vehicle vs. bicycle accident at Lowell and Keyes roads. The motorist was cited for failure to yield on a right turn.

3:37 p.m. – A Shore Drive resident reported numerous people were swimming off conservation land at the cove on White Pond. The responding officer checked the entire pond and surrounding streets and found no issues.

4:07 p.m. – Lincoln Police reported an erratic white Chevy pickup traveling westbound on Route 2 in the area of Walden Street.

5:38 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a Walden School worker having an issue with a student while at the 7-Eleven in West Concord. The staff member was transported back to the school, while the student was a voluntary resident at the school and no longer wanted to be there.

8:29 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop at Fitchburg Turnpike and the Lincoln town line, a Waltham man was cited for uninsured motor vehicle, operating with a suspended/revoked registration, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a child under 5 without a car seat.

9:31 p.m. – Police responded to a report of fireworks, possibly coming from Willard School. The responding officer checked the area and reported there was nothing showing.
