Police Log: Alleged International Theft of $60,000, Illegal Lefts Out of Starbucks

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Dec. 9

1:03 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 2 and Sudbury Road, a Fitchburg woman received a verbal warning for an inspection sticker violation.

8:38 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident in which a vehicle was off the roadway on Strawberry Hill Road.

8:46 a.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Main Street and Forest Ridge Road. The involved vehicles pulled into the Valley Sports parking lot.

9:11 a.m. – a Nathan Pratt Drive resident called to report the larceny of $60,000 on an international credit card.

10:36 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop on Sudbury Road, a Marlborough man was summonsed for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

2:37 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop at Thoreau and Middle streets, a Billerica man was given a verbal warning for a left-hand turn violation at Starbucks.

4:47 p.m. – Police responded to a reported disabled motor vehicle in the vicinity of Strawberry Hill and Barretts Mill roads. The vehicle was located in the middle of the roadway awaiting a tow.

6:15 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop on Main Street, a Bedford man was cited for a stop light violation.

8:51 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Comm Ave and Winthrop Street, a Leominster man was cited for a marked lanes violation and given other verbal warnings.

10:07 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in which a car struck a hydrant in the area of Old Pickard and Powder Mill roads. The vehicle’s owner was transported to her home on Deer Grass Lane and cited for an unspecified traffic violation.

10:20 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a suspicious car carrier parked in front of a Partridge Lane residence. The responding officer reported confirming a neighbor’s vehicle was being removed with the resident’s knowledge and consent.

Tuesday, Dec. 10

7:05 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Lowell Road and Monument Square, a Worcester man was cited for failure to yield.

8:03 a.m. – Police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Hayward Mill Circle, where a resident claimed her mailbox was knocked over sometime during the Thanksgiving weekend.

10:16 p.m. – An employee from the Water and Sewer Division reported the chains for the tower on Annursnac Hill Road appeared to have been cut and the doors to the Verizon building were open. The responding officer took a report for malicious destruction of property.

1:28 p.m. – Police responded to a report of verbal threats to an employee of a business on Baker Avenue Extension.

1:55 p.m. – Police responded to a report of suspicious activity at Colonial Motors on Main Street, where the business owner believes someone may be sleeping in one of the used vehicles overnight.

5:16 p.m. – A Peter Bulkeley Road resident requested assistance in dealing with “harassing” phone calls from a bank regarding a past fraudulent case on a credit card.
