Police Log: An iPhone Stolen and Accidents Around Town

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Aug. 29

8:29 a.m. – A parking complaint came in regarding construction vehicles allegedly parked and taking up one lane of traffic on Virginia Road, in the area of Fuller Lane. The responding officer reported paving trucks working at Hanscom had moved off the road prior to arrival, and would make other arrangements for parking. 

2:25 p.m. – A Maynard woman walked into the station to report her iPhone was stolen from the West Concord Depot sometime during the previous day.

2:57 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of West Concord Plaza on Main Street, a Medford man is receiving a summons for operating an unregistered motor vehicle on a suspended license.

5:25 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Lexington Road and Cambridge Turnpike. The responding officer advised both operators were uninjured and could drive their vehicles from the scene, the police report said.

6:19 p.m. – State Police reported a three-car accident on Route 2 east at Crosby’s Corner. The responding officer reported the involved vehicles had already left the scene, with one of them being placed on a flatbed truck, according to the police report, which said the accident possibly happened in Lincoln.

9:09 p.m. – A Concord woman walked into the station after leaving to Colonial Inn to find a not on her car, allegedly left by a witness who saw a vehicle strike her car and leave the area. Police are investigating.
