Police Log: An Out-of-Control Patient and a Mystery Deer

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Feb. 5

9:27 a.m. – ADT called in a burglary alarm on Prairie Street. Officers were dispatched to investigate, and the building checked secure.

12:10 p.m. – Police responded to a report of an out-of-control patient at the Emergency Room at Emerson Hospital. Police cleared after the patient calmed down and was with a doctor.

12:57 p.m. – A call came in reporting a silver Jeep driving erratically and not using turn signals while driving on Estabrook Road toward Lowell Road. Police spoke with the driver of the vehicle at Trail’s End Café and reported there was no impairment.

3:19 p.m. – A Highway Department employee reported receiving a call about a struck deer on Elm Street by Route 2A, with car parts surrounding the deer. State Police reported no similar calls, and the responding officer was unable to locate anything matching that description.

4:04 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a UPS delivery taken from a doorstop on Cottage Street earlier in the afternoon.

5:52 p.m. – A Westford woman reported striking a deer with her motor vehicle on Lexington Road by Meriam’s Corner/Old Bedford Road. There was minor damage to the vehicle, and the deer ran off into the woods, according to the police report.
