Police Log: Barking Dogs and a Low-Flying Helicopter

Wednesday, Sept. 12

11:15 a.m. – A Barrett’s Mill Road requested to speak with an officer regarding a dog barking in the area.

11:48 a.m. – Police received a call reporting a dog barking in the area of Lanes End but were unable to locate the animal.

 1:13 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Main and Wood streets, a Connecticut woman was cited for speeding and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

4:32 p.m. – A parking complaint came in about a vehicle with Arizona plates parked in the “No Parking” zone by the administration building at Everett Gardens.

4:35 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a low-flying helicopter around Monument Street. Police contacted the tower at Hanscom, which confirmed the pilot had just landed.

4:51 p.m. – A Lowell man called to report he was involved in a verbal argument with a female employee at Sorrentos after he went in the wrong entrance and she was rude to him.

6:26 p.m. – A woman called from the Concord Museum to report finding an older white dog in front of the building on Lexington Road.

8:53 p.m. – An abandoned 911 call came in from Emerson Hospital. Police called back and confirmed there were no problems.
