Police Log: Bomb Threat at Court, Search Turns Up Stolen Property

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Jan. 10

9:10 a.m. – A woman called 911 from the driveway of the Heritage Club on Old Bedford Road reporting her vehicle was stuck in a snow bank due to poor road conditions. The responding officer reported there was no one around the vehicle.

10:33 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 2 and Main Street, a Belmont resident was summonsed for operating a motor vehicle with suspended/revoked registration and uninsured motor vehicle.

11:45 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a woman making threats at the Concord District Court. Later, Rebecca Lee Curtin, of 68 Maple St., Acton, was arrested and charged with making a false bomb threat and threatening to commit a crime.

12:52 p.m. – A Billerica woman reported losing a beige change purse, possibly by the Harvard Vanguard Medical Offices on Baker Ave.

1:03 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident, a possible hit-and-run, that occurred about 40 minutes earlier on Baker Ave.

1:09 p.m. – Police responded to a report of small school buses and parents parking vehicles on Main Street by Emerson Umbrella, causing a safety hazard for other vehicles. The responding officer checked Main Street around Academy Lane and Sow Street, and found no issues at either location.

3:34 p.m. – While conducting a search warrant of a vehicle involved in an alleged crime, police located items reportedly stolen from a Cotuit woman. As a result, a Rhode Island man was summonsed for receiving stolen property under $250.

5:07 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Main and Elm streets. As a result, a Billerica woman was cited for failure to use care.

5:52 p.m. – A Westford resident called to report a collision with a deer in the area of Lowell and Hugh Cargill roads. There was damage to the vehicle, but the deer left the area.

6:51 p.m. – Police responded to a report of suspicious activity involving a blue Ford Explorer driving back and forth on Harrington Avenue. The responding officer checked the area, but the vehicle was gone on arrival.

10:22 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 2 and Sudbury Road, a Concord woman was summonsed for operating a motor vehicle with suspended/revoked registration, uninsured motor vehicle and speeding.
