Police Log: Concord Man Scolded for Shoveling the Track at Emerson Field

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Jan. 29

5:48 a.m. – An employee from Concord Gas reported there was apparent damage to a town Speed Limit sign near the gas station on Elm Street.

10:13 a.m. – An alarm activation triggered on Walden Street. It was accidental by an employee of the design business, the incident report said.

1:08 p.m. – A Concord woman reported an ongoing traffic complaint involving vehicles speeding in the area of her Monument Street residence.

1:29 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 2 east, just past Baker Avenue, Kiever Urgilez, of 230 1st Ave., Woonsocket, R.I., was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

2:50 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a Swiss Army watch and platinum wedding band stolen from the mens locker room at Valley Sports the previous day.

4:04 p.m. – Concord’s Recreation Director reported a man shoveling the track at Emerson Field and asked that he be removed. The man, a Rollingwood Lane resident, was removed from the track and advised he was not allowed to use a broom or shovel on the track.

4:44 p.m. – Police responded to a traffic complaint involving a vehicle that took a lefthand turn out of the Starbucks parking lot about 10 minutes earlier. Police spoke with the registered owner of the vehicle, who said his daughter had the car and he’d follow-up with her.

6:35 p.m. – A Concord man walked into the lobby to report that, about 5 to 10 minutes earlier, he was parked in front of Concord Provisions when a Honda Ridgeline began backing toward him until he beeped his horn to alert the other driver. The man told police the other motorist then exited his vehicle and “screamed various expletives” before leaving toward Main Street.
