Police Log: Cyclists Complain About Motorists, Motorists Complain About Cyclists
The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Saturday, Nov. 16
8:51 a.m. – A wallet found by Concord Gas on Elm Street was turned in to a patrol officer. Police contacted the owner of the wallet, who said she would pick it up at the station the following day.
12:33 p.m. – Police responded to a motor vehicle vs. deer accident on Elm Street by Musketaquid Road. The animal ran off into the woods nearby.

12:35 p.m. – A call came in reporting 12 bicyclists riding two- and three-abreast on Lexington Road. Police checked the area, but the cyclists were gone on arrival.
3:57 p.m. – Police responded to a report of suspicious activity involving a man who approached the caller’s Sudbury Road residence asking for directions to Maynard, before returning Saturday asking for the same directions.

4:01 p.m. – A Hillside Avenue resident called to complain about a barking dog at a neighbor’s house.
6 p.m. – A 911 call came in reporting an erratic motor vehicle swerving over the double-yellow lines on Route 2A westbound before turning left onto Brooks Road.
6:51 p.m. – A Strawberry Hill Road resident called to complain about a dog that reportedly had been barking for three hours on College Road.
7:15 p.m. – An Acton man called to report the larceny of his wallet from an unsecured locker at Nashawtuc Country Club,
10:44 p.m. – A 911 call came in reporting a possible disabled motor vehicle on the tracks at the Baker Avenue crossing. The responding officer reported the vehicle belonged to a construction worker working on the tracks.
Sunday, Nov. 17
3:19 a.m. – A patrol officer radioed in to report checking on an unsecured door by Trail’s End Café on Lowell Road. There was no sign of forced entry and the building checked OK, according to the incident report.
7:01 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 2 and Sandy Pond Road, an Acton woman was cited for operating a motor vehicle with suspended/revoked registration, uninsured motor vehicle and number plate violation.
7:19 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop on Baker Avenue Extension, an Acton woman was cited for operating a motor vehicle with her license suspended and miscellaneous motor vehicle equipment violations.
9:34 a.m. – A man came into the station to complain about vehicles parked on his property on Walden Street.
11:30 a.m. – A woman reported finding a credit card on the ground at Trail’s End Café. Police spoke with the store manager, who said they’d hold the card to see if the owner came back for it.
11:35 a.m. – A man came into the station to report a speeding vehicle came close to him as he ride his bicycle on Lowell Road by Westford Road.
6:23 p.m. – An abandoned 911 call came in from Bedford Street. It was confirmed as accidental.
