Police Log: Damaged Doorknobs, Downed Wires and Suspicious Persons

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, July 19

7:47 a.m. – A Main Street resident reported observing an older woman outside of her residence when she returned home the previous afternoon. The caller claimed the woman entered her vehicle, an older brown sedan, and left the scene once observed.

7:58 a.m. – Police responded to a reported breaking-and-entering at an Emerson Hospital office building on Old Road to Nine Acre Corner.

8:40 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Hubbard and Walden streets, a Middleborough man was cited for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and unregistered motor vehicle.

9:37 a.m. – A College Road resident reporting noticing damage to an outside doorknob the previous Tuesday morning. The responding officer reported there was no damage to the door, though one side of the knob worked while the other did not; it did not appear anyone attempted to gain entry.

11:52 a.m. – A Lincoln man walked into the station to report he lost his cell phone at Walden Pond the previous day.

12:53 p.m. – Police responded to several reports of a power line down on Elsinore Street.

1:04 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident on Walden Street.

7:38 p.m. – Police responded to an alarm activation on Baker Ave Extension; the building checked secure and the alarm was reportedly tripped by a cleaning company.

11:58 p.m. – A call came in from 80 Thoreau reporting a heavyset white man was attempting to get money and/or a ride to Boston from the restaurant’s employees who were leaving for the night. The responding officer reported the man in question had since called a taxi.
