Police Log: Disabled Motor Vehicles, Drywall in the Roadway

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Oct. 8

1:51 a.m. – An officer radioed in to report a disabled motor vehicle on Brook Trail by Main Street. It was secured off the roadway, and the driver made his own arrangements for transportation.

7:18 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 2 and Elm Street, a Malden man received a summons for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding in violation of a special regulation.

10:34 a.m. – Police responded to a reported burglary alarm activation on Lanes End Road. The house checked secure, and the alarm was possibly set off by a delivery, the incident report said.

11:15 a.m. – State Police requested a cruiser check of a disabled motor vehicle on Route 2 eastbound in the area of Walden Street. The vehicle was gone on arrival.

3:19 p.m. – An alarm company called in a burglary alarm activation on Old Road to Nine Acre Corner. Police responded and checked on an unsecure rear door, which the building security was able to secure.

6:16 p.m. – An officer radioed in to report encountering a piece of drywall in the roadway on Sudbury Road. He placed it by the guardrail and notified the Department of Public Works.
