Police Log: Drinking Wine Behind the Wheel, Fireworks Complaints and More

Friday, July 26
4:28 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 2 and Walden Street, a Lynne man was cited for marked lanes violation and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
7:14 a.m. – A man came into the station to report a sliver Nissan Rogue was tailgating his motor vehicle by Main and West streets, and then passed him over the yellow lines.

10:41 a.m. – A Cambridge man reported finding a white Lab on Monument Street, near Punkatassett Hill. The dog officer was advised.
2:34 p.m. – A parking complaint came in reporting moving vans blocking a driveway on College Road.

2:56 p.m. – Police responded to a reported past hit-and-run accident in which a Concord woman was reportedly rear-ended while her vehicle was stopped at the intersection of Old Road to Nine Acre Corner and Main Street.
5:44 p.m. – A Concord woman walked into the station to report an incidence of reported identity theft.
6:29 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a woman in a silver Audi drinking wine she purchased at Donelan’s in Acton as she drove her vehicle toward the Route 2 rotary in Concord. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.
8:10 p.m. – A Laws Brook Road resident reported a white Toyota Camry had been parked in front of her residence since about 9 a.m. that morning. The vehicle’s owner returned to shortly thereafter, having spent the day with a neighboring resident.
9:17 p.m. – Police responded to a report of fireworks being set off from Rideout Field in West Concord.
