Police Log: Extra Eyes on the Road; Hit and Run; OUI Arrest

The Concord Police Department supplied the following information. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

The following incidents were documented in the logs.

Extra Eye on the Roads
At 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 13, police received a complaint of speeding motorists on Sudbury Road near Garfield Road during the morning commute. The reporting party requested police keep an extra eye out in the area.

Just after 12 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, police received another request for additional traffic coverage on Highland Street near Main Street to enforce speeding laws and the no left turn restriction.

At School After Hours
At Approximately 12:20 a.m. on Saturday, police received an alert from American Alarm at the . Police responded to the area and found multiple subjects loitering in the area. The building was checked and the subjects were sent on their way.

Hit and Run
At approximately 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, police received a report of a past hit and run involving a parked car at Concord Depot. Witnesses reported observing a green SUV leave the area at the time they heard the collision. Police responded to the area and observed minor damage to the tailgate of a green Kia Sportage.

OUI Arrest
Just after 4 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 15, police initiated a motor vehicle stop on Concord Turnpike at Fairhaven Road, resulting in the arrest of Samantha R. Bovenzi, 25, of Leominster, for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, marked lanes violations, and speeding in violation of special regulations.
