Police Log: Fraudulent Checks and a Hit-and-Run at the Library
The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Thursday, Oct. 17
12:46 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a smashed pumpkin in the roadway in front of Scimone Farm on Old Bedford Road.
8:45 a.m. – Officers investigated a reported hit-and-run accident in the area of Bedford Street and Old Bedford Road.

11:10 p.m. – A Stow woman called to complain about a brown SUV that ran a stop sign on Conant Street at a high rate of speed.
12:15 p.m. – Police responded to a report that an older woman struck the fence in the Fowler Branch Library parking lot. As a result of the investigation, a Concord woman was cited for failure to use care and leaving the scene of property damage.

2:32 p.m. – A Strawberry Hill Road resident called to complain about a landscaping truck blocking the sidewalk on Barretts Mill Road between Strawberry Hill and College roads.
3:57 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a fraudulent check at Middlesex Savings Bank.
5:51 p.m. – Officers responded to a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Main Street and Old Stow Road.
6:27 p.m. – A Connecticut man came into the station to report a civil issue between himself and a Highland Street surrounding his looking at an apartment there.
11:33 p.m. – Lexington Police relayed a report of a disabled motor vehicle in a bad spot on Bypass Road by Route 2 and Crosby's Corner.
